About this file

This document is a comprehensive set of technical specifications and bid documents for the Northside Phase 3 Force Main/Water Line Extension project for the City of Zephyrhills in Pasco County, Florida. The project involves installing approximately 6,000 linear feet of 6-inch sanitary sewer force main and 3,000 linear feet of 12-inch potable water main. The construction will primarily utilize horizontal directional drilling (HDD) methods, with some segments installed using open-cut techniques. The project route will extend along Gall Boulevard between Alston Avenue and Tucker Road, with work beginning at C Avenue and ending west of railroad tracks. The specifications cover detailed requirements for materials, installation methods, testing, and quality control for the utility infrastructure project.

The technical specifications are extensive, covering everything from pipe materials (including ductile iron, PVC, and HDPE), to installation procedures, testing protocols, and disinfection requirements. The project will be funded through municipal infrastructure investment, with the bid documents indicating a comprehensive approach to utility expansion. The specifications require strict adherence to American Water Works Association (AWWA) standards, Florida Department of Environmental Protection regulations, and other relevant technical guidelines. Contractors bidding on the project must demonstrate significant experience with municipal utility infrastructure installation, particularly with horizontal directional drilling techniques and potable water/wastewater system construction. The detailed technical requirements suggest a complex project demanding high-quality engineering and construction practices.
