The Mt. San Antonio College District is seeking Bids for the purchase of network equipment as described in the bid specification to provide networking services that will support instructional programs in the new Technology and Health Building to include access to the Internet, to campus computing resources, to wireless networks, to audiovisual systems and virtual reality simulations. The network equipment will also provide connectivity for building automated systems (access controls, lighting controls, and energy management systems), VoIP (voice of IP) devices, mass notification digital signage, and cameras.

1.2. Background

In July 2019, the Board of Trustees approved the Final Project Proposal to be submitted to the State

Chancellor's Office for the Technology and Health Replacement Project for a four-level, 270,000-square-foot building located at the center of the campus on the site of the former swimming pool and of the surrounding buildings 27A, 27B, 27C. In November 2020, the Board of Trustees approved the initial design contract. The project will construct new education facilities that will centralize, co-locate, and expand the programs currently housed in the existing Technology and Health facility (Building 28A and

28B), Design Technology Center (Building 13), and the Health Careers facility (Building 67A and

67B). State funding for preliminary plans, working drawings, and construction for the Technology and

Health Replacement project has been approved, and the College will be reimbursed approximately $78 million.

The new Building consists of:

• 65 classrooms (8 of which are combinable) – standard classrooms as well as specialty rooms supporting Aero Flight Simulation, CNET Computer rooms, Electronics lecture and labs, Nursing lecture and simulation labs with recording, Health Careers Resource Center (HCRC), Metal Shop, Radiology, and Respiratory.

• 4 meeting rooms - support larger group gatherings

• 9 offices suites and Division office

• 8 huddle rooms

• 29 digital signs – featuring campus managed announcements, guides, and emergency notifications

• A Virtual Reality (VR) Suite

• An amphitheater
