About this file
The technical data document (PGC03534) details specifications for antimicrobial black boot socks for the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Troop Support. The socks are Navy Type III, black color, with specific packaging requirements of 5 pairs per rubberbanded package and 24 packages per carton (120 total packages). Key technical requirements include antimicrobial testing verification, which must be performed yearly by the prime contractor at a certified laboratory, testing both Staphylococcus Aureus and Pseudomonas Aeruginosa bacteria after initial testing and after 25 wash cycles.
The document specifies detailed quality assurance and inspection criteria, including dimensional and visual inspection levels, sampling protocols, and packaging standards. Contractors must adhere to multiple military standards for marking, shipping, and wood packaging materials, including ISPM 15 international phytosanitary guidelines. The socks must be manufactured using Berry Amendment compliant materials, with palletization required and specific load dimension constraints. The technical data supports a potential solicitation (SPE1C1-25-R-0070) for a 60-month contract with an estimated annual quantity of 500,000 pairs, set aside exclusively for small businesses.
