STATEMENT OF WORK
1. Objective/Requirements The Phoenix MICRON 5 system is required for animal research and specifically for Rodent Research-28 (RR-28) mission that is scheduled to fly aboard SpaceX-30 in early 2024. This instrument is used for small animals in vivo studies and enables imaging of rodent eye to assess retina health and macular degeneration. As part of this work, the vendor will deliver a Phoenix MICRON 5 system and the companion MICRON Image-Guided OCT2 system, performs an onsite training session, and provide remote support.
Characteristics, Scope, and Specs The contractor shall perform the following duties:
Ship the Phoenix MICRON 5 system and the accompanying parts as quoted to
NASA KSC
Travel to NASA KSC to install the instrument and perform onsite training Provide remote training support as needed
2. Place of Performance
The work will be conducted at NASA KSC in the Space Station Processing Facility SSPF
3. Period of Performance The service should be performed by September 30 of 2023
