About this file

This Statement of Work (SOW) details NASA's requirement for Q7 single on-board computers and related components for the DOPPLER project and STMD Lateral Stabilization Methods task. The procurement includes three Q7 EM (revision B) processor modules without enclosure, two Q7-ACS Attitude Control System daughterboards, and one 80-hour Engineering Application Support Package from Xiphos Technologies. The on-board computer system is designed to interface with Delta motor controller systems, Maxon brushless direct-current motors, and other peripherals like IMUs, cameras, and scientific payloads.

The contractor must deliver the specified items within 8 weeks after order receipt to NASA Langley Research Center in Hampton, VA. The deliverables will include original inspection and test reports from Xiphos Technologies, user documentation, and technical manuals. No technical or progress meetings with NASA are requested. The equipment is intended for a path-to-flight design of the DOPPLER engineering development unit, supporting NASA's lunar environment research and stabilization methods.

STATEMENT OF WORK

1.0 Introduction/Background:

The NASA LaRC Deployable Observatory for improved Payload-to-Partner Line-of-sight in the Lunar EnviRonment (DOPPLER) project and STMD Lateral Stabilization Methods (LSM) task require a single on-board computer (OBC) with associated peripheral board capable of controlling a motor control system capable to operate multiple axes through a single integrated unit. The projects demand a flight-heritage OBC, including daughter boards, that can interface with selected flight motor controller boards such as the DELTA from Motiv Space Systems, several brushless direct-current (BLDC) motors from Maxon Precision Motors, Inc, and other payloads and components.

2.0 Scope of Work: This SOW covers the procurement of Q7 single on-board computers and related assistance services to be used for a path-to-flight design of the DOPPLER engineering development unit (EDU). The OBC to be delivered as a complete integrated system shall be in ready-to-operate condition to serve as the programmable computer to interface between the Delta motor controller system, the Maxon motors, and other peripherals such as IMUs, cameras and scientific payloads.

3.0 Objectives: The contractor shall deliver the listed products in accordance with the specifications listed.

4.0 Description of the Work/Contractor Tasks:

The contractor shall deliver to NASA the following on-board computer products and daughter boards, and assistance services listed on Table 1. This shall be produced with the specifications listed:
