About this file
This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for the procurement of a Tektronix mixed-signal oscilloscope and associated test equipment for NASA.
NASA requires a mixed-signal oscilloscope system to support embedded hardware bring-up, board-level debugging, and power and signal integrity analysis. The current instrumentation lacks sufficient bandwidth and capability to resolve high-speed serial and clock signals or correlate digital protocol activity with analog behavior. The specified deliverable is a Tektronix MSO44B 4 Series Mixed Signal Oscilloscope with four FlexChannels, 31.25M record length, and a 1-year warranty, paired with a 1 GHz bandwidth option and the Ultimate software bundle featuring perpetual, node-locked licensing. The procurement also includes a comprehensive probe complement: an 8-channel logic probe (TLP058), a 1 GHz isolated current probe (TICP100), a 30 A AC/DC current probe (TCP0030A), a 1 GHz differential probe (TDP1000), and a 1.5 GHz active single-ended probe (TAP1500). Additional items include a hard transit case with front cover, North America power cord, and a five-year calibration data report with corresponding calibration service. All instruments and probes shall include Certificates of Traceable Calibration at delivery. The oscilloscope must support four analog input channels configurable as analog or digital, provide 1 GHz bandwidth on all analog channels, maintain a minimum 31.25 M points record length per channel, and include advanced analysis software for jitter/eye, power, and serial protocol analysis. All voltage and current probes must utilize a common probe interface (TekVPI or equivalent) for automatic scaling and instrument-controlled configuration. Delivery shall occur at the earliest date available from the vendor, with the vendor providing the soonest achievable delivery date in the quotation, and warranty coverage beginning from the date of acceptance per manufacturer's standard terms.

Statement of Work
Oscilloscope
A. Background/History of Requirement:
NASA performs embedded hardware bring-up, board-level debug, and power and signal integrity analysis. This work requires simultaneous observation of analog signals, digital bus traffic, and current draw during transient events — capability not available with existing test equipment. Present instrumentation is limited to [describe current scope/bandwidth or state that no oscilloscope is currently assigned], which is insufficient to resolve high-speed serial and clock signals or to correlate digital protocol activity with analog behavior. A mixed-signal oscilloscope with adequate bandwidth, deep record length, and a matched probe complement is required to diagnose intermittent faults, validate power rails, and verify timing margins.
B. Description of item(s) to be purchased:
Tektronix oscilloscope and accessories, as follows:
Qty 1 — MSO44B, 4 Series Mixed Signal Oscilloscope, four (4) FlexChannels, 31.25M record length, 1-year warranty, Certificate of Traceable Calibration
Qty 1 — MSO44B 4-BW-1000, installed option, 1 GHz bandwidth Qty 1 — 4-ULTIMATE-PER, Ultimate software bundle for 4 Series MSO, perpetual license, node locked Qty 1 — HC4, hard transit case with front cover Qty 1 — MSO44B A0, North America power cord Qty 1 — MSO44B D5, calibration data report, 5 years (requires Option C5) Qty 1 — TLP058, 8-channel general purpose logic probe with accessory kit Qty 1 — TICP100, 1 GHz isolated current probe Qty 1 — TCP0030A, AC/DC current probe, 30 A DC, DC to 120 MHz, TekVPI, with Certificate of
