About this file

This document is a presolicitation synopsis for maintenance work on the USNS WASHINGTON CHAMBERS. The synopsis provides details on the scope of work, which includes approximately 63 items such as general ship services, water tank repairs, tank preservation, and removal and replacement of bulkhead insulation. The work will take place at a contractor facility on the West Coast over a 45-day period commencing around June 30, 2023. Interested parties should monitor Sam.gov on or around November 30, 2022 for solicitation N3220523R4007 and submit responses by the undisclosed closing date. The Military Sealift Command considered setting aside this opportunity for small businesses but did not receive adequate interest under NAICS code 336611, which has a 1,250-employee size standard. The Command and Small Business Administration concur with pursuing this as a full and open competition.
