16. Description: MSC intends to award a contract for the MTA of the USNS GRASP (T-ARS 51) to be performed at a Contractor’s facility within the location range of the United States, inclusive of Hawaii, and Alaska. This work package includes approximately 84 work items with a sample of Work Items to be accomplished list below:
1) General Services for Ship
2) TARS_CCSI_Flight Deck Preservation
3) TARS_CSI_Main Propulsion Diesel Engine – Major Overhaul
4) TARS_CSI_Main Propulsion Diesel Engine – Minor Overhaul (10K Hours)
5) TARS_CCSI_Antenna Maintenance
6) TARS_CSI_Marotta Air Regulator Valve Refurbishment
7) TARS_CSI_SS Diesel Engine – Minor Overhaul (10K Hours)
8) TARS_CCSI_Annual Rescue Boat and Davit Inspection
9) TARS_CSI_Reduction Gear Inspection (5 YR)
10) TARS_CSI_Automation and Propulsion Control Inspection and Test (1 YR)

b. Performance location information: All United States, inclusive of Hawaii, and Alaska
c. Delivery schedule: POP, commence January 15, 2024 for approx. 61 days

g. Set-aside Status: Total Small Business Set Aside
17. The decision to solicit as a Total Small Business Set Aside was based on Market Research. MSC received interest from six small business concerns under NAICS 336611, which has a size standard of 1,300 employees. The MSC Small Business representative and Small Business Administration Procurement Center Representative concurs with decision to solicit as a total small business set aside.
