About this file
This synopsis and related federal contract opportunity document outline requirements for a mid-term availability contract for the USNS GRASP. The Military Sealift Command intends to award a contract to perform approximately 91 work items at a contractor's facility in Alaska, Hawaii, or along the west coast between January and March 2023. Examples of work items include deck preservation, propulsion system repairs, radar and ECDIS renewal, and piping replacements. Responses are due by the date to be determined, and award is expected to occur on November 24, 2022. The solicitation will be posted on SAM.gov on August 24, 2022 as a full and open competition under solicitation number N3220522R4143. The decision to change this requirement from a small business set-aside to full and open was due to a lack of small business proposals for the previous solicitation.
