16. Description: MSC intends to award a contract for the MTA of the USNS GRASP (T-ARS 51) to be performed at a Contractor’s facility within the location range of Alaska, Hawaii, or West Coast. This work package includes approximately 91 work items with a sample of Work Items to be accomplished list below:

6) AFFF Tank Fill Piping Renewals
7) Diver Davit Cooling System Modifications
8) Reduction Gear and Clutch Inspections
9) Forepeak Tank Steel Renewal
10) Lower Salvage Stores Passageway Bilge Preservation

17. The decision to solicit as a Total Small Business Set-Aside was based on Market Research. MSC received interest from multiple small businesses under NAICS 336611, which has a size standard of 1,250 employees. The MSC Small Business representative concurs with decision to solicit as a Total Small Business Set-Aside.
