The Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD) intends to negotiate and award a sole source contract to Collins Aerospace, San Dimas, CA. The proposed acquisition will provide for the furnishing of up to 6 Central Atmosphere Monitoring System (CAMS) IIA A5 modules (P/N 500000-001; NSN: 6650015634640) and associated technical data over a two-year ordering period. The CAMS IIA A5 modules will serve to upgrade the fielded analyzers installed which monitor the breathable atmosphere.
Pursuant to 10 U.S.C 2304(c)(1), Collin’s Aerospace is the only responsible source capable of fulfilling the Navy’s requirements for the specified effort. The proposed award and resulting contract modifications are for supplies and services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR Part 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii), "Only One Responsible Source."
