The United States Air Force through the Air Force Sustainment Center (AFSC) at the Oklahoma City Logistics Center (OC-ALC) is contemplating procuring remanufacture services of F110 Motional Transducer. The Line Item cited below is for non-commercial, Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Contract. This requirement is anticipated to be sole source.

10. Description: The transducer consists of a linear variable differential transformer (LVDT) with a moveable core which is attached to the nozzle actuation right. The transducer sends the AFT control an electrical output signal proportional to the actuator position in RMS volts per excitation verses actuator stroke in inches. The dimensions are 22.00L X 1.62W X 1.62 and 6.50LBS.

This acquisition will be competed as other than Full and Open Competition due to only one approved source.

L/I 0002 – Data, NSP Quantity: 1 Lot

Delivery of 5 each 30 days after receipt of award. Early delivery is acceptable.

Award will be based on meeting our requirements and cannot be delayed pending qualifications of additional sources.

An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. SOLE SOURCE NOTES:

The proposed contract action is for supplies and services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one, or a limited number of sources under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for noncompetitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty five-days (thirty days if award is issued under an existing basic ordering agreement) after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A Determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Authority is 10 USC 2304 (c) (1).
