About this file
This synopsis outlines a pre-solicitation for a critical safety aircraft brake component procurement. The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for 113 aircraft main landing gear (MLG) brakes manufactured by Aircraft Wheel and Brake, LLC (P/N 030-17821) and The Boeing Company (P/N 901-336-006-117), with an estimated delivery of 793 days after receipt of order. The solicitation will be unrestricted and utilize other than full and open competition, with an anticipated award against the Original Equipment Manufacturer's (OEM) Basic Ordering Agreement.
Key procurement details include a solicitation issue date of approximately 05/26/25 with a closing date of 06/26/25. Offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) and may need to submit additional requirements based on offer value: offers over $750,000 require a subcontracting plan, while offers exceeding $2,000,000 necessitate certified cost and pricing data. Alternate offerors must submit a Source Approval Request (SAR) package. The final contract award will be determined using a combination of price, past performance, and other evaluation factors through the Supplier Performance Risk System (SPRS), with Patrick Milligan serving as the point of contact.
