16. Description: Military Sealift Command requires the mission essential acquisition of one time chartered US or foreign flag (to be reflagged U.S. prior to delivery) self-sustaining container vessel that is capable of carrying a minimum of 500 20' International Organization for Standardization (ISO) containers of twenty foot equivalent unit (TEU) of ammunition underdeck and 500 20' International Organization for Standardization (ISO) containers of twenty foot equivalent unit (TEU) of ammunition on-deck. The Vessel is to be employed in worldwide trade for the transportation and/or prepositioning of cargo (including but not limited to hazardous cargoes, explosives, ammunition, vehicular, containerized and general cargoes); and for military readiness, in accordance with the terms of this Charter. The Vessel shall be capable of deployment to worldwide locations within 24 hours of notification by the Operational Commander designated by the U.S.

Navy. Anticipated laydays are on or about 10 May 2024, and the length of the charter will be for four (4) years and eleven (11) months.
