Title: Marble Bluff Dam & Fish Passage Facility - Fish Lock Gate Rehabilitation - Phase II
Solicitation: 140R2020B0007
The California Great Basin, Region 10 of the Bureau of Reclamation intends to issue a Solicitation for a firm fixed-price contract for the Marble Bluff Dam and Fish Lock Gate Rehabilitation. This procurement is a Total Small Business Set-Aside and will be an Invitation for Bids (IFB) using FAR Part 14, Sealed Bidding procedures. The work to be performed is described below.
The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 237990 and the related small business size standard is $39.5M. This notice is not a request for proposal (RFP) or IFB and the information presented in this announcement will not obligate the Bureau of Reclamation in any manner. The estimated cost of this project is between $1,000,000.00 and 5,000,000.00. This procurement will require a bid guarantee and 100% performance and payment bonds.
The work will be conducted at Marble Bluff Dam located 46 miles northeast of Reno, Nevada, in Washoe County.
Solicitation 140R2020B0007 will be posted electronically via www.fbo.gov on or about July 15, 2020. The date for receipt of bid will be approximately August 15, 2020.
The solicitation must be downloaded at the above website; no paper copy of this solicitation will be distributed.
Prospective contractors MUST be actively registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database at http://www.sam.gov to be eligible for award.
PRINCIPAL COMPONENTS OF WORK:
1. Install cofferdam upstream of gates to be recoated.
2. Remove and dispose of sediment and control water leakage into cofferdam during construction.
a. Sediment removed may contain hazardous substances.
b. Sample and analyze removed sediment prior to disposal.
3. Replace seals.
4. Remove and replace metalwork.
5. Blast and recoat gates and metalwork with vinyl coating system.
6. Furnish and install cathodic protection for gates.
7. Remove and dispose of coatings and equipment containing hazardous materials
