PRESOLICITATION NOTICE/SYNOPSIS
SOLICITATION NO. 140R4021Q0041
TYZACK PUMPING PLANT SWITCHGEAR REPLACEMENT
TOTAL SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The Bureau of Reclamation, Upper Colorado Basin Region has a requirement for the procurement and replacement of the existing switchgear assembly with a new 2,400 volt, 3-phase switchgear assembly (including 1200A bus bar, controls, conduits, and all other related components). The assembly serves 5 motors – two 600 hp pumps and 5 (five) 1250 hp pumps. As part of the project, installation of variable frequency drives (VFDs) are required for the two 600 hp pumps. The three 1250 hp pumps require Reduced Voltage Soft Starters (RVSS).
LOCATION OF THE WORK
The work is located at the Tyzack Pumping Plant, which is situated on the south side of Red Fleet Dam (near the toe of the dam) in Vernal, Utah.

The NAICS code for this procurement is 335313 Switchgear and Switchboard Apparatus Manufacturing with a size standard of 1,250 Employees to classify as a small business.
COMPETITION
Solicitation No. 140R4021Q0041 shall be procured in accordance with Parts 12 and 13 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and will be posted as a total small business set-aside open to any of the small business concerns identified under FAR 19.000(a)(3). The Government will issue a Request for Quotation resulting in the award of a firm-fixed-price supply contract.
An informal site visit is anticipated. The information, along with the project specifications and related documents will be defined within the solicitation.
ANTICIPATED SOLICITATION RELEASE DATE
The anticipated release date of the solicitation is June 14, 2021. Please be aware that the anticipated release date is an approximation and the actual release date may vary.
The solicitation documents for this procurement will be accessible from the SAM.gov website, https://sam.gov. It is, and will continue to be, all potential offeror's/quoter’s responsibility to monitor the SAM.gov website for any amendments, updates, responses to questions and answers, etc. as the Government will not be providing any other methods of information dissemination.
