About this file
This document is a Statement of Work (SOW) for a requirement to provide Molecular Pathogen Detection reagents and lease equipment to run in-vitro diagnostic (IVD) test panels at Pathology & Laboratory Medicine Service (P&LMS) locations in Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN) 08. The required panels include Gastrointestinal, Meningitis/Encephalitis, Joint Infection, Pneumonia, Blood Culture Identification, and Respiratory. The equipment must meet or exceed specifications for the Biomerieux Biofire FilmArray Torch system and provide automated, sample-to-answer molecular pathogen detection in about 1 hour. The SOW specifies performance, software, installation, maintenance, service, and training requirements. Delivery of new equipment is required within 10 business days of contract award, and reagents/supplies within 2 business days of order. The government may replace equipment that exceeds 10% downtime in a calendar month. This SOW supports a Federal Contract Opportunity for a Blanket Purchase Agreement to continue this requirement for VISN 08 locations.
