About this file
This Statement of Work (SOW) describes the procurement of material handling equipment for a newly activated Munitions Squadron at an Air Force installation in Oklahoma City. The government seeks to acquire one 5,000-pound capacity stand-up electric forklift, one pallet truck scale with printer (48" x 27" fork size, 5,000-pound capacity), and one electric pallet truck (45" x 27" fork size, 4,500-pound capacity). The equipment must include a two-year preventative maintenance warranty and shipping. The forklift and pallet trucks are essential to support 2T0X1 Traffic Management personnel in safely and efficiently handling cargo and munitions movement for the squadron's operational readiness. Current lack of appropriate equipment creates increased safety risks from manual handling of heavy loads, mission inefficiency due to prolonged loading and unloading operations, and potential damage to sensitive munitions and government assets.
The equipment must meet specific salient features including a 10-foot mast lift height, non-marking tires, safety lights and horn, lithium-ion battery, stand-up operator configuration, and side shifter. Delivery is required to 137 SOLRS, Attention: SMSgt Dishon, Kimberly, 5612 Air Guard Drive, Building 1047, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73179, with contact information provided via email (kimberly.dishon@us.af.mil) and telephone ((405) 686-5447). The SOW does not specify response dates, award dates, pricing information, contract vehicles, or set-asides.

Statement of Work (SOW)
• INTRODUCTION: 5,000lb capacity stand-up electric forklift, pallet truck scale with printer, and electric pallet truck.
• BACKGROUND: Our unit requires the procurement of one (1) 5,000 lb. capacity stand-up electric forklift to support the material handling operations for the newly formed Munitions Squadron, in addition to a pallet truck scale with a printer and an electric pallet truck. This equipment is essential for personnel in the 2T0X1 Traffic Management career field to safely and efficiently handle the movement of cargo and munitions.
The recent activation of the new Munitions Squadron has led to an increase in the volume of cargo and munitions that must be processed, loaded, and offloaded onto carriers' equipment. The 2T0X1 Traffic Management personnel are tasked with the safe and efficient execution of these duties, which are critical to the wing's operational readiness.
Currently, the squadron lacks the appropriate material handling equipment to manage the onload and offload of heavy crates and pallets. The acquisition of a 5,000 lb. electric forklift, a pallet truck scale with a printer, and an electric pallet truck is a critical first step to establishing safe and effective initial operations for the squadron. This forklift will be the primary workhorse for moving heavy assets off and on carriers during shipping and receiving. The primary responsibilities of the 2T0X1 career field include managing traffic management activities, utilizing military and commercial transport, and properly packaging and arranging cargo. The requested forklift and pallet trucks are a foundational tool that will enable our personnel to perform these core duties in a safe, efficient, and timely manner. Failure to procure this essential piece of equipment will have the following negative impacts:
o Increased Safety Risks: Requiring personnel to manually lift and move heavy munitions and cargo will dramatically increase the risk of serious injury and compromise workplace safety.
o Mission Inefficiency: Without the proper equipment, the time required for loading and unloading operations will be significantly longer, creating bottlenecks in the supply chain and negatively impacting the operational tempo and readiness of the wing.
o Potential for Damaged Assets: Improper handling of sensitive munitions and valuable government assets increases the likelihood of damage, which can lead to costly replacements, mission delays, and potential safety hazards.
• REQUIREMENTS: The contractor shall provide the following:
