Statement of Work (SOW) Project: Supply LP to USDA Lab Facility
GENERAL INFORMATION
1.0 Scope of Work:
The USDA National Centers for Animal Health, 1920 Dayton Ave, Ames, IA, 50010 has a requirement to have Liquid Propane Delivered to (16) propane tanks in (10) locations on campus.
2.0 Background:
This contract is for an estimated yearly usage of 65,000 gallons of liquid propane. The 5-year estimated liquid propane maximum usage is approximately 64,531 gallons. The 5-year estimated minimum usage is 46,196 gallons.
CONTRACTOR REQUIREMENTS
3.0 Technical Requirements/Tasks:
The contractor shall provide and deliver propane gas to refill (sixteen 1000-gallon tanks in ten locations). The contractor will top off the tanks twice a week during temperatures that drop below 55 degrees F for the week and once a week during temperatures that are above 80 degrees F for the week on a schedule to be coordinated with the USDA. The contractor shall install remote tank readers on the propane tanks, will monitor all tank levels, and will provide a tank level report to USDA representatives daily. The tank readers will send an email alarm message to the contractor and USDA representatives when a pre-set low level is attained. The contractor must be able to deliver propane within 24 hours in case of emergencies during non-standard business days and hours.
4.0 Government Furnished: Normal Access to the USDA facility at 1920 Dayton Ave, Ames, Iowa 50010 will be during normal business hours only, excluding nights weekends and government and other holidays. Access can possibly be granted on a case-by-case basis with a 2-week notice. For emergencies, the contractor must be able to deliver propane within 24 hours in case of emergencies during non-standard business days and hours.

6.0 Travel: Travel to and from location- N/A 7.0 Contractor’s Key Personnel:
Deliveries for this contract shall be completed by drivers with at least 1 year of experience and fully trained and up to date on recurring safety and delivery training, for delivery of liquid propane.
8.0 Security Requirements: Vendor personnel shall be US Citizens.
