Hopi Health Care Center - GE Healthcare CARESCAPE Patient Monitoring Equipment

Statement of Work

Project Title: Hopi Health Care Center – GE Healthcare CARESCAPE Patient Monitoring Equipment

1. Introduction and Background

The Indian Health Service (IHS), Phoenix Area Office (PAO) Department of Acquisition Management (DAM), is procuring for a Contractor to provide equipment and technical services necessary to install new GE Healthcare CARESCAPE physiologic monitoring system equipment at Hopi Health Care Center (Keams Canyon Service Unit).

Physiologic monitoring equipment measures and displays waveforms and numerical data for various patient parameters, including but not limited to electrocardiogram (ECG), noninvasive blood pressure (NIBP), respiratory rate, invasive blood pressure (IBP), body temperature, arterial hemoglobin oxygen saturation (SpO2), mixed venous oxygenation (SvO2), cardiac output, end-tidal carbon dioxide (ETCO2), intracranial pressure, and airway gas concentrations. Physiologic monitoring systems are critically important to patient care and provide real-time measurements of monitored parameters and notification of changes in a patient's condition. Hopi Health Care center requires the installation and implementation of the GE Healthcare CARESCAPE platform in the Emergency Department, Short-Stay, and Obstetrics Ward (OB) patient care areas, allowing both basic and advanced monitoring capabilities. The GE CARESCAPE physiologic monitoring equipment requires specialized installation and training services by certified GE Healthcare field specialists and technicians to ensure that the devices are configured to meet manufacturer’s requirements and Hopi Health Care Center end users are fully trained in proper use of the equipment. The Indian Health Service PAO intends to procure new GE Healthcare CARESCAPE equipment and installation services by original equipment manufacturers (OEM) certified/trained equipment specialists that meet the appropriate specification and standards set by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), and The Joint Commission (TJC).
