About this file
This Statement of Work (SOW) details the procurement of a 100KN Universal Testing Machine (UTM) for the Composites & Shelf-Life Lab at Tinker Air Force Base. The UTM is a floor model with 22,500 pounds force capacity, designed to test mechanical properties of materials for aircraft component repair and fabrication, and must meet AC7122 National Aerospace Defense Contractors Accreditation Program (NADCAP) Composites alignment requirements.
The comprehensive SOW specifies detailed technical requirements including hardware specifications (footprint, force capacity, environmental chamber), software capabilities, and numerous accessories such as load cells, grips, alignment fixtures, and extensometers. The vendor is responsible for providing complete installation, 4-hour onsite training for three operators, developing five test methods, and offering a 1-year warranty covering parts, labor, software updates, and system diagnostics. Additional requirements include calibration services every 12 months, maintenance documentation, and integration with a Tinker AFB-provided computer system. The procurement is scheduled for June 2025, with the machine intended for use in testing material mechanical properties at Tinker AFB.
