LA--FWS SOUTHEAST LOUISIANA REFUGES LR 4 SELA WATER & WASTEWATER

OPERATIONS & MAINTENANCE

Statement of Work –

The Contractor shall provide services related to the operation and maintenance of the water system and wastewater systems at Big Branch Marsh National Wildlife Refuge, during May 1, 2022 through April 30, 2023, including base year with 4 one-year options. Documentation will be provided for all services to confirm compliance with and Federal or State Code requirements. The contractor will be available for service calls related to the systems.

Contractor Qualifications: the contractor must possess and maintain Class 1 Certifications from the State of Louisiana all of the follow categories:

• Water production

• Water distribution

• Water treatment

• Wastewater collection

• Wastewater treatment

Contractor must submit a copy of their certification as an attachment to their quote.

Services to operate and maintain the water system at Southeast Louisiana Refuges Complex, 61389 Highway 434, Lacombe, LA 70445 to include:

• One (1) site visit per month to inspect the mechanical integrity of the water well site and administer one (1) free chlorine test on the system. Contact must be made with Government representative at least 24 hours in advance before the Service.

Services to operate and maintain wastewater treatment system at Southeast Louisiana Refuges Complex, 61389 Highway 434, Lacombe, LA 70445 to include:

• One (1) site visit per month to inspect, clean and adjust the wastewater system for proper operation and compliance. Contractor to supply chlorine tablets as needed. All other supplies, materials and repairs needed shall be documented in writing. Contact must be made with Government representative at least 24 hours in advance before the service.

Services to for one (1) annual visit to administer tests on eight (8) backflow preventers at 61389 Highway 434, Lacombe LA 70445. Contact must be made with Government Representative at least 24 hours in advance before the service.

Services to collect sewer samples and provide Discharge Monitoring Reports (DMR) to the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality at following locations and frequencies:

• Two (2) outfalls at 61389 Highway 434, Lacombe, LA 70445; Sampling frequency- both semi-annual

• One (1) outfall at 16901 Chef Menteur Highway, New Orleans LA 70129; sampling frequency annual

• One (1) outfall at 215 Offshore Shipyard Road, Venice LA 70091; sampling frequency semi-annual
