1. Purpose

The requirement is for (18) portable, lightweight RF shielded tents. They shall be capable of housing and protection communication media emissions of multi-domain (NIPR/SIPR/JWICS) equipment. The tents will support AMC ISR Force Elements (FE) and house the Air Mobility Commands’ deployable communications solution, Joint Expeditionary Forward Flyaway-Kits (JEFF-K). These (18) tents will allow for easy setup and breakdown when rapid response of a deployment is needed in various environments. Tents and corresponding deliverables shall be delivered to Scott AFB, IL.

2. Scope of Work

The RF Shielded Tent is the main component of the deployable kit. The enclosure must meet the mission requirements to provide an extremely portable and high-performing alternative to hardwall and/or metal building structures. Tent enclosure will be customized to meet Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) centered missions of providing vital, modern, context-relevant capabilities.

3. Requirements

This requirement is for 18 RF/EMI Shielded Tents. All contractor provided equipment shall be new not refurbished. The contractor shall provide Operator/Customer training. The contractor shall provide user guide with common fix action/troubleshooting, accurate wiring diagrams, block diagrams, and/or schematics for all newly installed equipment and corresponding hardware to show actual configuration and connectivity. Cables shall be physically labeled at interface points in accordance with the configuration baseline provided in the documentation. In addition, contractor will use standard installation practices for all cable runs and cable management.

Each tent must fulfill the following requirements:

a) Tents will be black, high metal content RF/EMI fabric. Tents fully assembled will be 7'L(length) x 6'W(width) x 6'H (height), with a heavy-duty frame made from easy pop-up style portable external steel frames. Tents assembled will consists of no more than 10 steel poles.

b) Closure system will consist of a Velcro/zipper closure system.

c) Enclosure must have grounded power supply that supports the plug in of power strips and ventilation. (power strip not included)

d) Facing the tent, the door will be on the left-hand side, power and fans will be on the right-hand side of the tent's front.

e) Ventilation door is a radio frequency screen that allows for airflow via a small size fan contained in the screen.

f) Facing the tent, the power and fans will be located on the right-hand side of the tent's door. Attenuation range must be >85dB from 400MHz-11GHz, connections must be, high performance 15A double stage power filter box consisting of (4) Cat6 RJ-45 connectors and (2) FC/FC Fiber couplers.

g) Deploying each tent will take no more than 20 minutes.

h) Tent transport and frame transport cases required for storage and transport (2 cases/tent). Transport cases must be heavy duty pelican style with rollers for easy conveyance. Total weight will be no more than 170 pounds per tent/frame in cases (48"x18"x18" - 110lbs & 63"x9"x5" - 60lbs).

i) Lead time not to exceed 13 weeks for production and delivery.

j) Construction and soundness of tent structure will be tested utilizing numerous methods and equipment. Tents will be visually inspected for tears, rips, and overall condition of equipment. All tents will be inventoried upon arrival. Each tent will be tested for acceptable standards individually utilizing Yorkie Pro Hand-Held Scanner inside the tent to detect, cellular, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) channels using a high-speed receiver engine in conjunction with a Wi-Fi/BT/BLE demodulator. The PocketHound will be used to scan for RF signatures emitting from within the RF shielded tent. Tents will be tested by any additional requirements set forth by the Department of Defense, USAF, and its affiliates.
