STATEMENT OF WORK (SOW)
FOR INSTALLATION OF (2) AIR CONDITIONING UNITS
1.0 INTRODUCTION
1.1 Marine Operations Center-Atlantic is soliciting proposals for the installation of new air conditioning units servicing building #2, first floor Electronics Department office spaces. All calculations and cost estimates required should be provided with the accuracy and detail appropriate for the nature of the work being performed. Cost estimates should reflect true costs which would be expected to be incurred if engineering bid documents were to be produced and opportunities installed.
The existing air conditioning units doesn’t have sufficient ventilation and air flow to support the Electronics office spaces, and thereby causing humid conditions in the summer and cold conditions in the winter, along with producing mold in the area.
There are no existing air conditioning units, so concrete work, and plastering will be required to remove sections of the wall to allow for installation of new A/C units. Contractor takes possession of all equipment and materials removed from the building and ensure all walls are resealed properly with matching paint and plaster to existing exterior/interior walls using commercial grade paint and plaster.
Replacement units will utilize R410 refrigerant and have inverters to provide heating and cooling to the office spaces. All replacement units will be rated for 9000 BTU’s or the equivalent.
Installation of (2) new LG 9,000 BTU 21.5 SEER Art Cool Mirror Single Zone Heat/Cool units. The single-zone mini-split systems include a condenser and wall mount air handler for standard office use coverage of 350 to 400 square feet. Air handler refrigerant line set, remote thermostat, new drain line, new 7.5 A, 8.9A; 115V electrical circuit breaker and electrical disconnect switch (more details in technical specs. sheet). Also, outside mounting brackets, running electrical wiring, weatherproof electrical disconnects, insulation, refrigerant, copper tubing, fan coil units mounted in the office spaces and condensate drains. Installation of condenser units and fan coil units should be free of obstacles to ensure access for routine maintenance or repair. All surrounding walls or structural surfaces affected by the installation will be restored to match the surrounding finish.
Contractor will be responsible for scaffolding to access the worksite
