About this file

This Statement of Work (SOW) details a cable repair project for the Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY) involving the replacement of four Patton & Cooke C-150 15 KV male couplers. The contractor is required to provide all labor, tools, and materials to replace the shore power cable connectors, with specific testing and documentation requirements. Key responsibilities include performing comprehensive insulation resistance tests on cable phases before and after installation, verifying cable ground continuity, and ensuring precise phase positioning (Phase A: Black, Phase B: White, Phase C: Red).

The project has critical time constraints, with a maximum completion timeline of 5 days, and will be conducted in Building 298 and an adjacent Cable Storage Tent. Contractor personnel will need CIA access and must comply with OSHA and Norfolk Naval Shipyard safety requirements. The solicitation (N4215825QS020) is issued by the Department of the Navy Naval Sea Systems Command, with specific technical and certifying points of contact to be determined. The contractor must provide Objective Quality Evidence in the form of test reports demonstrating that each cable successfully meets the specified test requirements.
