STATEMENT OF WORK

Navigation Database Update Service Subscription USMC KC-130J Block 8.1 Upgrade Program

Introduction/Background This Statement of Work (SOW) defines the requirements to support procurement of a Navigation Database Services (NDB) Update Service from GE Aviation Systems LLC (GEAS) in support of the KC-130J Block 8.1 Upgrade Program for The United States Marine Corps (USMC). This is a critical need because not having the most current electronic word-wide navigational maps required for safe navigation could potentially place the aircraft and its aircrew in peril. In addition, the KC- 130J would not be able to fulfill worldwide warfighter requirements, thus putting into jeopardy the ability to sustain ground troops in the Area of Responsibility (AOR).

2.0 Scope of Work

This SOW covers the effort to procure the NDB update service via a subscription provided by the Contractor. The NDB update service will be provided for the KC-130J aircraft in support of Government Testing under the Block 8.1 Upgrade Program. The Contractor shall deliver a loadable software airplane part (LSAP) in an electronic Zip archive via support central every 28 days per the Aeronautical Information Regulation and Control (AIRAC) defined cycles. This is a flight ready NDB, which is formatted such that it can be downloaded without requiring the use of an additional software tool then subsequently loaded into the Flight Management Computer Systems (FMCS) r This NDB shall be compiled into a unique format that is derived from National Geospatial Intelligence Agency (NGA) produced Digital Aeronautical Flight Information File (DAFIF) 8.1 data for Refueling Tracks and Jeppesen ARINC 424 data for all other record types. The Contractor shall provide the NDB Update Service by processing the data supplied using its proprietary techniques, and deliver processed data in the form of NDB files to the USMC exclusively for use by the USMC in support of its KC- 130J aircraft.

3.0 Period of Performance

The Contractor’s NDB requires a 30-day lead time after contract award. The period of performance shall be 12 months from contract award, 13 updates in 28 day cycles.

4.0 Place of Performance

The Contractor shall perform the work in its facilities with the Contractor sending the updated NDB to the USMC every 28 days.

5.0 Work Requirements

The Contractor shall provide the NDB Update Service subscription for the USMC KC-130J aircraft in accordance with Section 2.0 of this SOW. No testing is required upon delivery.

6.0 Schedule/Milestones

Delivery of the NDB subscription is every 28 days for 13 cycles beginning at contract award.
