STATEMENT OF WORK (SOW) for IDS Monitors in Building 4916 (Simulators)
1. SCOPE: Provide, install, and test two monitors into the existing Intrusion Detection System (IDS) of building 4916 located on Seymour Johnson Air Force Base. All installed equipment must function properly with existing Vindicator system. Comment by DEMERS, MICHAEL J CIV USAF ACC 4 CONS/PKB: Contractors may ask which vindicator version is installed. Comment by RONALD: I do not have that info. It’s not written on the “box” of the system. Perhaps it is in the contract that created the installation? Unfortunately we lost our s:drive, so I have very little documentation from the past.
2. MATERIALS: Contractor shall provide and install all items listed below. All equipment provided shall be on the Air Force Approved Equipment List. Comment by DEMERS, MICHAEL J CIV USAF ACC 4 CONS/PKB: We need to provide the list or website. Comment by BRAND, RONALD Lt Col USAF AFRC 916 ARW/SE: I have no idea were these items are located. I figured that’s up to the contractor to find the needed items.
(2) monitors that can be operated in a classified open storage secret environment as well as all other equipment and cabling needed to operate with the existing IDS.
3. DESCRIPTION: For the two entrance areas (show on diagram layout as yellow stars), one monitor will be installed on the wall at each entrance with proper mounting hardware, cabling, and height placement (approximately 60” above finished floor). All cables will be concealed and will have with enough slack so that if the monitor needs to be pulled away from the wall for servicing, the cable length will allow for this. The bracket will be adjustable enough to allow for tilting movement up and down, side to side, and will allow displacement from the wall. The monitors will allow for color video and be a size appropriate for the space (approximately a diagonal measurement of 20”). The frame of the monitor will be minimal (if any) and black in color. Both monitors will be compatible with the existing IDS in telecom room W130. Work will need to be conducted within all established open storage secret parameters used by the USAF at SJAFB. This addition of two monitors will allow occupants to view who is outside of the door prior to opening the door into the open storage secret facility. A layout of the facility and monitor placement is on the following page.
WORKMANSHIP: All workmanship will comply with standard trade practices. The contractor shall provide qualified personnel (whom as of this year have been trained and received Vindicator certifications for Win 7 platform and higher), equipment, and services required to install all equipment and software. Contractor will also provide training and training materials. All installation and configuration will be compliant with USAF and OSHA construction standards. Comment by DEMERS, MICHAEL J CIV USAF ACC 4 CONS/PKB: Need to spell out. Comment by BRAND, RONALD Lt Col USAF AFRC 916 ARW/SE: I just copied it from a previous SOW. I will remove it.
DOCUMENTATION: The contractor will provide a complete documentation package to include manuals, drawings and schematics of all installed equipment.
CLEAN-UP: The contractor is responsible to return all worksites to the condition in which they were found and remove all previous/old hardware and associated cabling. Should painting of the walls be needed, the paint will match the existing wall and be completed in a professional manner.
WARRANTY: The contractor will guarantee workmanship and warranty on all newly installed equipment to include software for a period of one year after the certification has been received from the MAJCOM. Comment by DEMERS, MICHAEL J CIV USAF ACC 4 CONS/PKB: IS certification going to be required just to add Monitors? Comment by RONALD: Certification will be done for the open storage secret area in about a year.
