About this file

This Statement of Work details requirements for gas meter replacement services at Travis Air Force Base across 10 buildings (B1, B3, B214, B231, B436, B551, B812, B971, B1355, and B1356). The contractor must provide all labor, materials, and supervision to complete the replacements in accordance with Uniform Plumbing Code, NFPA standards 54/58, and International Building Code requirements.

The work includes demolition of existing gas meter systems and installation of new analog gas meters with AMRS capabilities and pulse kits, along with associated components like shutoff valves, regulators, earthquake valves, and relief valves. Key requirements include: coordination with Civil Engineering Squadron IT for meter communications, mandatory leak checks with R&O Planner, 7-day advance notice for outages, work hours of 08:00-16:00 Monday-Friday, proper labeling and corrosion-resistant coating of meters, and maintaining clean work areas with off-base debris disposal. All meters must be analog without batteries and pass AMRS testing before delivery. The contractor must provide working drawings, follow proper installation sequencing, and ensure pipe diameters match device sizes to avoid unnecessary fittings.
