About this file
This document is a Statement of Work (SOW) for a yearly on-site maintenance and support plan for a BD FACSMelody flow cytometry instrument located in a Biosafety Level 1 Laboratory at the USDA, ARS in Beltsville, Maryland. The SOW requires one preventative maintenance service and inspection/kit, unlimited service visits with a 48-hour response time, unlimited telephone support, and laser calibration/servicing and non-consumable parts. The period of performance is from September 16, 2024 to September 15, 2025. This SOW is associated with a pre-solicitation Sources Sought announcement for the same requirement, issued by the USDA, Northeast Area, Animal Biosciences & Biotechnology Laboratory. The Sources Sought is for market research purposes only and does not constitute a commitment to award a contract.

Scope of Work
Scope:
To provide an on-site complete support plan for FACSMelody flow cytometry instrument. The BD FACSMelody sorter is a compact optical bench flow cytometer and sorter which offers a simplified and streamlined approach to cell sorting. The BD FACSMelody system allows for fast, reproducible results to be achieved regardless of operator skill level. With its high sensitivity and resolution, the BD FACSMelody sorter can identify and isolate target cells for up to nine colors. This extended multicolor capability allows for dim or rare subpopulations to be identified, and produces more data with less sample.
