The largest workload is the KC-135 insulated fabric panels consisting of approximately 106,000 panels a year that all utilize the Eastman cutting machine. The upgrade will reduce the downtime of the machines and the maintenance costs. Currently the fabric machine which sees the highest workload has been experiencing issues that will be solved with the upgrade. When the machine is down, the fabric and carpet cannot cut panels at the same time which slows down the production time.
