STATEMENT OF WORK

Preventative Maintenance and Urgent Repair Support for AB Sciex Instruments and Accessories

I. BACKGROUND

The Chemical Sciences Division (CSD) of the Material Measurement Laboratory (MML) at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) mission is to serve as the Nation's reference laboratory for chemical compositional measurements and standards to enhance U.S. industry's productivity and competitiveness; assure equity in trade; and provide quality assurance for chemical measurements used for assessing and improving public health, safety, and the environment.

This purchase supports that mission by ensuring the continued and accurate operation of analytical equipment used for trace and ultra-trace organic species quantification. Reliable maintenance and calibration of these instruments are critical to generating high-quality data for the certification of reference materials and supporting broad public health and environmental research initiatives.
