About this file

This Statement of Work outlines requirements for 3D printing electronics equipment to be delivered to NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) in Greenbelt, MD. The objective is to demonstrate 3D printing capabilities for spaceflight missions through research applications and rapid prototyping of electronics boards, with a focus on maximizing customization while minimizing cost and schedule.

The specific requirements include: one 3DFlexible DDM tabletop printer capable of printing line widths down to 25 µm with additional milling and laser cutting capabilities, accompanying Creo parametric software add-on for creating toolpaths, and 1-year technical assistance with onsite training. The period of performance extends to November 1st, 2024, with a 60-day lead time after award. The procurement is being conducted under PR #4200882995 through NASA Shared Services Center.

STATEMENT OF WORK

3D Printing Electronics Group (562) Technologies Equipment

8/29/2024

PR: 4200882995

Objective Demonstrate capability for 3D Printing electronics to both maximize customization for unique needs of spaceflight missions while minimizing cost and schedule.

This will be accomplished via two prongs:

1. Research: applications for spaceflight projects with unique needs

2. Rapid prototyping: helping low-risk missions prototyping boards and other electronics early, enabling earlier testing and addressing design flaws

Scope

Purchase of direct ink write printer that leverages the well-tested machinery of standard milling machines and well-developed machining software to make a versatile research machine capable of printing line widths down to 25 µm.

Machine is also capable of subtractive manufacturing via milling and laser cutting, making it ideal for custom prototyping for spaceflight projects.

Requirements

a. 3DFlexible DDM tabletop printer, 1 pcs

b. Accompanying Creo parametric add-on for creating toolpaths (software), 1 pcs

c. 1-year technical assistance, starting from installation date, including onsite training, 1 pc

Place of Performance

All equipment will be used to perform works on-site at GSFC (Greenbelt, MD).

Period of Performance

Estimated to complete by Nov 1st, 2024. Lead time is 60 days after purchase is awarded
