STATEMENT OF WORK FORMAT

PR: 4200786499

Background

Mr. Sharp from Alora Science and technology will provide cryogenic support services in our laboratory.

Scope

Mechanical design will include proper shielding for higher temperature radiation.

Designs will be for TDM SQUID readout systems.

Testing support: Operate laboratory cryogenic testing equipment to screen parts delivered from both the National Institute of Standards NIST and the Goddard Detector Development Lab DDL. These will include Superconducting Quantum Interference Devices SQUIDs and Transition Edge Sensors TESs. Characterize TES devices using SQUID electronics to determine transition temperatures, thermal conductivity and TES saturation power. Integrate TES detectors into packages and build supporting cryogenic cabling to collect data using the UBC

MCE.

Electrical Design: Mask sets will need to be generated for the fanout board to connect the hybridized array to the SQUID readout electronics. PCB designs will need to be completed to connect the Si fanout/SQUID electronics to the room temperature electronics where data collection takes place.
