About this file

This Statement of Work from the California Department of Justice outlines specifications for a two-year standing order to procure 6,000 customized sexual assault evidence collection kits through RFQ 26-0001. The kits will be distributed to DOJ's Bureau of Forensic Services laboratories across California to support law enforcement agencies in their respective service areas. Each sequentially numbered kit contains specific forensic evidence collection materials including cotton-tipped swabs, various labeled envelopes for different evidence types, glassine envelopes, evidence tape, barcode labels, and an FDA insert sheet. The kits will be shipped to designated DOJ laboratories upon request on an as-needed basis, with delivery locations including facilities in Sacramento, Chico, Eureka, Watsonville, Fresno, Redding, Richmond, Riverside, Santa Rosa, and Goleta. Bidders may be required to provide sample kits before a purchase order is awarded.

The specifications allow for small deviations from the stated requirements with advance Department approval, indicating flexibility in the procurement process. As a standing order contract, the arrangement establishes a framework for the supply of kits over the two-year term rather than a single delivery. No specific pricing information, response deadlines, award dates, or additional contract terms are provided in this Statement of Work document, which focuses exclusively on the technical composition and delivery requirements for the sexual assault evidence collection kits.
