Statement of Work (SOW) Purchase and install Up Cut Saws one (1) each at DDJC.
Background:
a. Requiring Organization Defense Distribution Depot San Joaquin, CA (DDJC)
b. History Saws are required to replace existing radial arm saws that lack necessary safety equipment required to meet OSHA standards.
c. Purpose of the Statement of Work (SOW):
Purchase new Up Cut Saws one (1) ea.
1. Scope of Work to be Performed by Contractor:
The contractor shall provide all necessary labor and material to construct, deliver and place into operation one (1) new Up Cut saws. All equipment furnished shall be new from the manufacturer’s most current production. The saw shall be in compliance with all OSHA, federal, state, and local codes and regulations and shall conform to the best quality of materials and workmanship. Accessories not specifically mentioned herein, but necessary to furnish complete systems ready for use, shall also be included and named. All transportation/shipping of the purchased saws shall be provided by the contractor.
The machines must be equal to or greater than the Vista Machine Model S24 Up Cut Saw:
1ea 24” Up Cut Saw with Tiger Stop.
Salient Characteristics:
• 230-240 volt, 3 phase, 60 cycle electrical operation
• Machined flat tabletop
• 6" high fence rail clear through machine
• 24" TCG, Carbide Tipped Saw Blade
• 10 HP, TEFC, 3 phase motor
• VFD Soft Touch Magnetic starter and saw motor brake
• 24 VDC machine controls through plc
• 2 Hand cycle control
• Saw access door kill switch
• Adjustment Rod for proper clamp/guard height
• Adjustable saw cut speed control
• Saw access door switch
• Safety interlock installed between Tiger Stop and Up Cut saw
• Air filter/regulator with shutoff valve for air supply
• Right side feed
• OSHA safety blow gun
• 12ft roller in-feed table. Rollers on 6in center 12” wide conveyor with 3in high fence rail
• 16ft working/wood cutting dimension roller out-feed table. 20in wide (16in usable load space width) with mounted Tiger Stop
• GSX Gang Stop
• 60amp maximum service required
Exterior color – Manufacturer’s standard.
Warranty Coverage - Warranty coverage shall be manufacturer’s standard warranty but not less than one-year parts and labor.
Operator, Parts and Service Manual(s) and Training – The contractor shall provide with delivery, one (1) complete set of manuals with each machine.
2. Definitions of Terms and Abbreviations:
a. DDJC: Defense Distribution Depot San Joaquin
b. OSHA: Occupational Safety Health Administration
3. Description of Contractor’s Tasks:
Task 1: Fabricate and Deliver of one (1) each Up Cut saw. Saw to be connected to existing electrical connections, no requirement for additional electrical work is required. Saw to be connected to existing ventilation system, no additional ventilation system modification is required.
Task 2: Install one (1) Up Cut Saws in location identified in section 1.
Task 3: Provide one (1) 8 hour period of training instruction on the safe operation and maintenance of the installed Up Cut Saw. Training to be conducted at one location to be identified by personnel at the receiving location on the day of delivery and installation.
4. Certification and Acceptance:
Final acceptance of the Up Cut saw will be performed by personnel at the receiving location.
