The new HVAC Unit shall be installed per the manufacturers recommendations and as contained in this SOW. The installation must be coordinated with the USDA POCs prior to installation. The installation shall include factory startup, O&M manuals, HVAC Unit submittals for approval, and warranties. The contractor shall use existing piping, electrical disconnects, controls, etc. to install the new HVAC Unit. Note: The specified HVAC Unit is a direct replacement, therefore existing ducting, plumbing, electrical, etc. can be reused without extensive modifications. Other approved equal units may need more extensive modifications to provide a complete and usable system. Bid amounts must reflect all work necessary to deliver a whole, complete, and functional system.
Building #46- Remove existing Trane HVAC Unit and leave on site for USDA for further handling.
Install new Trane ModelYCH360D4L or approved equal for a fully functional system.
The contractor shall be responsible for disconnecting and removing existing Trane Unit, installing new Unit, and handling and disposing of debris at an off-site, certified disposal site consistent with all Local, State, and Federal requirements. The Government must be notified of any suspected hazardous materials.
The contractor shall protect the work, the site, and all existing property and structures within the limits of the installation activities or that may be affected thereby until acceptance of the work. Any damage to property shall be repaired at the contractor’s expense to pre-damaged condition.
Safety and health matters, as they relate to the installation, are the exclusive responsibility of the contractor. It is the responsibility of the contractor to furnish, erect, and maintain barricades, warning lights, signs, guards, or take other precautions as may be required by law or local authorities for protection and security.
The Government will not furnish any labor or equipment to unload or move materials or supplies.
