About this file

This Statement of Work (SOW) details a construction project for the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Agricultural Research Service at the National Poultry Research Center in Athens, Georgia. The project involves replacing obsolete condensate transfer pump controls in building 2, which includes demolishing the existing boiler control panel, installing a new control panel with specific components (power indicator lamp, disconnect switch, alternating relay, selector switches, pump run lamps, level control probes, control transformer, and output relays), and relocating two existing lift pump starters.

The project requires a contractor to provide all labor, equipment, materials, and supervision to complete the work within 90 days of the notice to proceed. The facility will remain occupied during construction, so work must minimize disruption to daily operations. The contractor must submit a Site-Specific Safety Plan, verify all dimensions, protect the site and existing property, and provide a one-year guarantee on all work. The project is anticipated to be a small business set-aside under NAICS Code 238220, with an estimated value between $25,000 and $100,000, and the Request for Quotation is expected to be issued around August 5, 2025.
