About this file
This document contains two Statements of Work (SOW) for repair and painting projects at the Timucuan Ecological and Historical Preserve in Jacksonville, Florida. The first SOW details roof repair work involving replacing rotted roof sheathing in two valleys of the Headquarters/POD structure, which includes removing metal gutters and roof panels, replacing damaged wood components, installing waterproof underlayment, and reinstalling roof panels. The project requires matching existing Forest Green metal roof panels and ensuring watertight transitions, with no building permit needed but work to comply with Florida Building Codes.
The second SOW covers exterior painting of the TRA Headquarters/POD structure, involving approximately 15,000 square feet of surface preparation and painting. The scope includes pressure washing, sanding, caulking, priming, and painting exterior surfaces such as walls, doors, window frames, floor trim, and roof structure undersides. The contractor will use top-quality Benjamin Moore acrylic exterior latex paint in low luster and satin finishes, with colors matched to an existing Curatorial Building. Specific areas like deck boards, ramps, and steps are to remain unpainted, and the contractor must carefully protect electrical items and prevent paint intrusion into the building.
