This Statement of Work details a radio upgrade project for the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system at Malmstrom Air Force Base (MAFB) in Montana. The project requires replacing existing phone line modems with VHF radio upgrades in four specific buildings and one tank (Buildings 1996 RTU, 220 MTU, 152 RTU, and Tank 8000). The contractor will provide equipment including CAT 6 Cable, Radio Viper 100 VHF, antenna surge protectors, pigtail connectors, programming updates, and engineering documentation updates, along with field service engineers to perform on-site installation and commissioning.
The project has a 60-calendar day performance period from authorization to begin work, with working hours between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., excluding federal holidays. The contract is intended to be sole-sourced to APSCO, LLC, which owns the proprietary Primex Controls equipment currently installed, ensuring equipment compatibility. MAFB will handle radio licensing, antenna poles, and taxes, while the contractor is responsible for utility coordination, safety compliance, environmental protection, and reporting. The 341st Civil Engineer Squadron will provide quality assurance evaluation throughout the project.
