About this file
This document is a Statement of Work (SOW) for the procurement of High Voltage Shields, Alpha Engineering Part Numbers: MHVC2001 Rev4 & MHVCL20022, for use on Teledyne/Renolds 700 Series subminiature Double Ended Right Angle Plug High Voltage Cable Assemblies. The SOW details the requirements, including providing engineering drawings, build/fabrication documentation, certification of compliance, pedigree of raw materials, and delivering the finished components to the Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC). The period of performance is August 2024 through September 2024, with the place of performance being the contractor facility.
The related federal contract opportunity is a Pre-Solicitation for High Voltage Cable Shields (Backshells), with Solicitation Number 80NSSC2479313. The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Shared Services Center intends to issue a sole source contract to Alpha Engineering Technical Services Corp. under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), as their equipment is proprietary and compatible with NASA instruments already in place. The NAICS code is 334516, and the government intends to acquire commercial items and services using FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13 provisions, clauses, and procedures.

1. Objective/Requirements The MOMA‐MS project at Goddard Space Flight Center has a requirement for a quantity of 69 High Voltage Shields, Alpha Engineering PNs: MHVC‐2001 Rev4 & MHVCL‐2002‐2 for use on Teledyne/Renolds 700 Series subminiature Double‐ Ended Right Angle Plug High Voltage Cable Assemblies Part Number: 700914S00XX.
Provide engineering drawings or model to include all specified materials, dimensions and tolerances.
Deliver build/fabrication documentation, document all non‐conformances, provide Certification of Compliance, pedigree of raw materials used, and engineering drawings for the Backshells.
Deliver the finished components to GSFC, either by shipping or by GSFC pickup at the contractor facility. The delivery method will be specified by GSFC for the components.
Wear gloves (e.g., latex or nitrile) when handling either the raw material or the components.
Ensure the surfaces and tools that are placed in contact with the cables are free from and unnecessary liquid contaminants (e.g., lubricant) or solid contaminants (e.g., debris from previous operations).
Provide storage of completed components at the contractor facility prior to shipping or pick‐up. Components shall be stored in an enclosed space (e.g., a sealed box or bag) to prevent accumulation of debris or dust.
To the extent practicable, the contractor should limit the use of raw material to the minimum necessary to create the requested components.
