DESCRIPTION/SPECIFICATIONS/STATEMENT OF WORK
1) General
The USDA Forest Service (FS) Intermountain Region (R4), Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest has a requirement to secure a qualified vendor who can provide repairs on Equipment Number 8015 Fire Truck. 2016 International 7400 Fire Truck that requires a complete engine replacement. Currently the Fire Truck is located at the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest Supervisor’s Office located at 1200 Franklin Way Sparks, NV 89431. It has been looked over by a local repair shop that says that the number 3 cylinder is cracked, and oil is leaking into it. The Forest Service is wanting to procure a vendor who is able to replace the existing engine with a new International MAXX Force engine, 9.3L, 570 CID, 6-cylinder turbo diesel, or newer variant.
The engine shall be performing at International’s engine performance standards after replacement is complete. Engine rebuilding will not be considered.

Delivery
The contract shall not exceed 60 calendar days after receipt of award. If more time is needed, vendor need to state in quote.
Inspection and Acceptance
The Fleet Manager shall perform an inspection on the Fire Truck once the Fire Truck has been repaired to verify the repairs match the repair estimate. Once, the repairs have been verified the WEX Card of the vehicle will be used to pay for the repairs.
2) Warranty
The vendor shall provide a guarantee of engine warranty include parts and labor for 30 days.
3) Firm Fixed price award
The vendor is responsible for making the necessary repairs and or adaptations in order for the fire truck to be in working order, for it to start, run, and perform with no engine lights or issues.
4) Site Visit
A site visit will take place on August 26, 2024, at 10:00 am.
