About this file
This document is a Statement of Work (SOW) for a federal contract opportunity related to the maintenance and repair of Pandora 1S instruments in the NASA/ESA global Pandora network (PGN). The SOW indicates a requirement for replacement parts, repairs, and upgrades to maintain the functionality of over 170 Pandora instruments that have degraded over time. The replacement parts must be compatible with the existing instruments and match or exceed the quality and performance of the original parts. The upgrades must improve the performance of the older model instruments to match that of a new instrument, and the repairs must restore the instruments to full functioning capability.
The related federal contract opportunity is a pre-solicitation for Pandora Instrument Repair/Replacement Parts, with NASA/NSSC as the procuring agency. NASA/NSSC intends to issue a sole source contract to SciGlob Research, the manufacturer of the Pandora instruments, under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). The NAICS code for this procurement is 811210. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to the identified point of contact by 7/31/2024, which will be evaluated to determine if the procurement should be competed.
