STATEMENT OF WORK FORMAT
Point Design of PRIMA Warm Readout Electronics DeepSpace Technologies, Inc.
1 August 2022
PR: _____________________
Background
The Probe far-Infrared Mission for Astrophysics (PRIMA) mission concept aims to understand stellar and galaxy evolution, as well as the growth of planetary systems, through the most sensitive observations of the universe in the far-infrared to date. To meet these ambitious goals, PRIMA will employ large arrays of cryogenic microwave kinetic inductance detectors (MKIDs) that are read out using a microwave multiplexing scheme. This will require development of warm readout electronics to carry out digital signal processing over bandwidths exceeding 1 GHz.
Scope
DeepSpace Technologies, Inc., will provide a “point design” – a best-effort theoretical design of the PRIMA Warm Detector Readout Electronics Module.
Requirements
DeepSpace Technologies, Inc., will provide a point design for the Warm Detector Readout Electronics Module sufficient to meet the requirements of the PRIMA mission.
DeepSpace Technologies will provide sufficient details of their proposed design to allow evaluation of the point design in comparison with alternative approaches.
Deliverables or Delivery Schedule
The point design is to be delivered within 90 days of receipt of the order.
