Workload Description – 3rd ID, Alpha Company, 3 BSB, Supply Support Activity (SSA)
Date: _02/07/2024___
1.1 Introduction and Background – The A CO. 3 BSB SSA will deploy into theater operations. This operation is within the Brigade deployment. The external customers in the rear require numerous capacities of organic equipment for significant Class II, III (P), VII, VIII and IX to maintain their missions.
This requirement generates a continuous flow of Supply Support Activity (SSA) demand that exceeds Rear Detachment personnel capability. This contract for personnel will provide a responsive SSA support solution to the 3 BSB SSA. This reduces customer wait time, receiving back-log, item location errors, increases turn-in throughput, and provides an interim manning solution during unit deployment.
In particular, the contract will reduce the back-log in SSA actions that result from the Brigade deployment. The 3 BSB SSA Rear Detachment does not have the required amount of supply personnel to conduct SSA operations. This will have a direct impact on 3ID Combat Readiness. Without this contract, 3 BSB SSA Rear Detachment will not be able to adequately support internal/external supply, medical, and maintenance requisitions while the Brigade is deployed.
1.2 Description of Requirements. The 3 BSB SSA requires contractors to help process open orders, manage additions and deletions of Authorized Stockage Listing (ASL), and issue critical reparable high dollar readiness parts. Unit requirement for SSA support, assumption of current operations in the 3 BSB SSA in accordance with the mission requirements, workload data, and commander’s priorities. Contractors will be expected to work in conjunction with US Army personnel in the SSA sections in receiving, storage, issue, turn-in, and stock control in order to maintain readiness. This will mitigate personnel shortages caused by deployments or rotations, increase productivity, and support the commander’s priorities. The contract will not be expected to fully staff the SSA. Contractor(s) will be required to supervise additional contract personnel hired for the SSA.
1.2.1 Mission Set of the Contractor operated 3 BSB SSA. The Contractor will provide support to 3 BSB SSA per Performance Work Statement at the designated location. The 3 BSB SSA customers are required to receive Class II, III (P), VII, VIII, and IX support from the SSA.

The contractor will maintain sufficient trained personnel to execute up to 95% of the total warehousing transactions (includes PGI, PGR, picks, put-away, and turn-ins) for the 3 BSB customers. This will also include the turning-in of equipment at the ISSA (BLDG 2916, West 6th Street) in order to decrease clutter in storage areas.
