Petersburg National Battlefield Alarm Monitoring
Statement of Work
Petersburg National Battlefield has a total of eleven (11) alarm systems in structures within the park that require 24-hour monitoring. In addition, there are three (3) cellular backup systems attached to the combined systems at Five Forks Contact Station, Five Forks Maintenance Shop, and Epps Plantation House that require 24-hour monitoring. An alarm system upgrade that will be completed in early 2024 will add additional cellular panels. The project will install three additional cellular panels at the maintenance complex and remove one non-cellular panel at Five Forks. This will result in ten (10) landline monitored alarm panels and six (6) cellularly monitored panels throughout the park after project completion. For a total of 14 separate monitored locations within the park.
The monitoring company will be required to report all alarm system activations and test timer failures. Alarm activations will be called in to our emergency dispatch at Colonial NHP at (757) 898-2427 within 5 minutes upon activation. Trouble activations dealing with faulty sensors or late to test devices will be relayed to the Chief Ranger and other personnel via email before 5 PM on the next day. The park law enforcement personnel will respond to alarm activations reported from the monitoring company. Openings and closings will need to be recorded by the contractor and supplied to the park within 48 hours, upon request.
The period of service required is from 7/1/2024 through 6/30/2029.
