Scope. This Statement of Work (SOW) defines the effort required for the fabrication and testing of 1-1/2 INCH & 2-INCH ID HOSE ASSEMBLIES.
1.1 Background. The 1-1/2 INCH & 2-INCH ID HOSE ASSEMBLIES are required for support of government work.
2 Requirements.
2.1 General Requirements. The 1-1/2 INCH & 2-INCH ID HOSE ASSEMBLIES in the technical Ordering Data Sheets (ODS) shall be manufactured in accordance with the color, material type, dimensions, temperature ratings, fitting specifications and performance criteria specified in the Ordering Data Sheets of this contract and testing requirements of paragraph 2.2.1.2 below.
2.2 Technical Objectives and Goals.
2.2.1 Design and Fabrication, and Test.
2.2.1.1 Design and Fabrication. The contractor shall fabricate 1-1/2 INCH & 2-INCH ID HOSE ASSEMBLIES to meet all color, material type, dimensions, temperature ratings, fitting specifications and performance criteria of Saint Gobain Chemflour Hose (WTLCT) as specified in the Ordering Data Sheets.
2.2.1.2 Test. The tests may be conducted at the contractor's facilities or at an independent laboratory or commercial testing facility. The contractor shall conduct hydrostatic testing of 1-1/2 INCH & 2-INCH ID HOSE ASSEMBLIES to manufacturer’s (Saint-Gobain Performance Plastic’s) specifications and provide the government with the Test Inspection/Report Data for each length of hose procured under this contract.
2.2.1.3 Cleanliness Requirements. The contractor shall maintain cleanliness of hose assemblies per the following:
Parts shall be cleaned by any process or combination of processes which will accomplish thorough cleaning without damage to the part(s). Surfaces shall be examined visually to determine freedom from dirt, corrosion, oil, flux, grease or foreign residue. Preservatives shall not be used on part(s) which are vulnerable to damage by contact preservatives.
Mercury containing compounds shall not be intentionally added or come into direct contact with hose assemblies.
The inner tube surface area shall be visually examined to the maximum extent possible from each end.
2.2.2 Preparation for Delivery. The contractor shall package the hose assemblies per the following:
Transfer hoses must be carefully handled and protected to prevent damage. Hoses must not be sharply bent, kinked, twisted, stretched, dropped, scraped, or otherwise abused. Hoses and hose end fittings must be adequately supported during handling and rigging so that the weight does not bend the hose where it enters the end fittings.
Units to be shipped must be free of loose particles, dirt, grease, oil, etc. with ends capped to prevent dirt from entering. The hose assemblies shall be packaged per commercial standard in a manner that does not violate the minimum bend radius specified by the manufacturer. The hose assemblies shall be packaged in a manner that prevents the hose assemblies from being damaged during shipment and prevents the hose assemblies from being wet and exposed to the elements.
2.3 Certificate of Compliance (COC). The contractor shall provide a COC to confirm all design, performance, drawing and test specifications required by this contract have been met.
