Statement of Work 2021 – Kayenta Health Center CSR Ultrasonic Cleaner Author: Soon-Wy Taylor, Lead MST, CRCST

BACKGROUND

The Central Sterile Reprocessing (CSR) Department is in need of an Ultrasonic cleaner for high volume cleaning.

The department currently has 2 small 4.5 gallon Ultrasonic cleaners, which is fine for a small clinic like IHHC or a dental office, but in a normal business operation of CSR the volume is high. One of the 2 Ultrasonic cleaners has recently went out, Biomed did contact vendor for repair but unfortunately that system is obsolete and parts are no longer being made or available.

There are no other backups for the current system that can handle the size and load of instrument sets and trays.

The contingency plan right now is to purchase equipment that can handle the demand and a preventative maintenance plan. The current system does not have functions for lumen cleaning, flush, rinsing, and automated chemical dosing.
