About this file

This Statement of Work (SOW) details the procurement of 500 cases of non-refillable, puncture-type CO2 gas cartridges for the Naval Survival Training Institute (NSTI). Each case contains 165 pieces, weighing 24 grams, and will be shipped to eight Aviation Survival Training Centers (ASTCs) located across the United States, including locations in Washington, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, California, and Florida. The total order is 82,500 cartridges, with individual site allocations ranging from 5 to 136 cases.

The cartridges are specifically designed for the Naval Aviation Survival Training Program (NASTP), supporting critical water survival training for joint and allied aviators, aircrew, and other military personnel. The contractor must provide a Certificate of Compliance with each delivery, and the ASTCs will verify the cartridges meet specified requirements, including a CO2 fill, 35 ml internal volume, 850 psi pressure rating, and JIS G3141 SPCE material. The technical point of contact is HMC Urquhart from the Naval Survival Training Institute, and all shipments will be FOB Destination to the designated training centers.
