About this file
This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for the 60th Maintenance Squadron/Crash Damaged/Disabled Aircraft Recovery (C.D.D.A.R.) at Travis Air Force Base, California. The 60 MXS/MXMTA requires permanent storage and transport cases to replace aging, damaged original shipping crates that have been in use for over 15 years. The current crates lack weather sealing and have resulted in costly equipment repairs due to corrosion. The equipment supports critical emergency response capabilities for recovering and repairing multiple aircraft types, including the C-17, C-5, and KC-46, utilizing inflatable airbags, air manifold consoles, and remote-controlled trailer dollies.
The contractor shall deliver four (4) Wilson Case ATA-300 Part # 84-7465-15T Lifting Bag Cases - 15 Ton to 311 Wolfskill Ave. Travis AFB CA, 94535 within 30 days after contract award. Each case must meet specified dimensions (103"L x 53"W x 36"H external with 4" skid base) and feature 1/2" single laminate black panels with 1/2" foam inner lining, a removable front panel, an interior 15-cubby grid (3 x 5 arrangement) capable of supporting 800 lbs top load, and specific stenciling requirements including "Aero Repair" insignia, "26T," "15T," and "15 TON" markings. This is a Brand Name or Equal requirement. The contractor must include a standard one-year equipment warranty and all shipping costs in the contract price.

Statement of Work
For
60 MXS/MXMTA
The 60th Maintenance Squadron/Crash Damaged/Disabled Aircraft Recovery (C.D.D.A.R.) has a requirement to recover and repair multiple types of aircraft, including the C-17, C-5, and KC-46. To perform this task, we use inflatable airbags paired with air manifold consoles and a remote-controlled trailer dolly. The current storage solution for these assets is the original shipping crates, which are aging and have sustained damage from over 15 years of use. These crates were not designed for long-term storage and are not weather sealed to prevent corrosion, resulting in costly repairs to these vital assets over the years. C.D.D.A.R. is requesting permanent storage and transport cases specifically designed for our equipment to prevent future damage and degradation of emergency response capabilities.
