Statement of Work

I. Project Identification A. Title: Removal of Discontinued Cableway Structure 03253500

B. Location: 38° 42’ 37” N, -84° 18’ 39” W 3801 Catawba Rd, Butler, KY 41006

II. Objectives

To procure services to dismantle a discontinued data collection station which is a concrete stilling well structure and A-frame tower on the left bank used to tension the 360 ft cableway span. The below land portion of the concrete stilling well will need to be filled in with an appropriate material to prevent entry. The awarded contractor will be removing the structures and hauling away all metal debris including the attached cables, metal railing, ladders, and platform. A transfer of ownership document will be provided to the landowner if needed. There is no A-frame tower on the right bank, just a concrete block with attachments which will be remediated by the Water Science Center.

III. Special Requirements

Access to the site is made by a path between a cow pasture and tobacco field. Do not drive over cultivated areas. If the path is wet, do not drive the vehicle on it because this will cause damage to fields or pastures.

Filling of the well below surface with appropriate material is included in this proposal.

Work under this contract shall be performed in accordance with the requirements of this Statement of Work, specifications for this contract, and all applicable federal, state and local regulations. It is very important that the successful bidder understand that this project includes removal of debris made by deconstruction.

IV. Inspections, certifications, and compliance

A. Contractor will be responsible for ensuring that all debris not used to fill in the well will be removed from the site and ensure that recyclable materials are taken to the appropriate recycling facilities.

B. Contractor will be responsible for returning area to as close to natural as possible.
